With a black skirt suit and clear rimmed glasses, Palin stood in front of America “representing” Hockey Moms everywhere. Palin rallied for Joe Six Packs and Hockey Moms to fight back against the greed of Wall Street. She has charisma and inspiration and with that the Republicans are awed. A day after her "inspiring" speech at the Republican convention someone at work approached me asking, “Did you see her? Wasn’t she amazing?” Well he was of course referring to Sarah Palin, the Republican vice-presidential candidate. The truth was that this person represented people everywhere that almost instantly fell in love with Palin. Women everywhere were switching there democratic vote, because there was now a woman they can stand behind.
Yet I was neither impressed nor inspired by this woman and quite honestly I was appalled by her comparison of a Hockey Mom and a bulldog. I almost start to compare Palin to Hilary Clinton whom has stamina and ambition as a leader and with an actual political agenda Hilary properly represented women everywhere, yet on the other hand Palin almost gives me the feel of being the covergirl for the Republican party. With her comments on important foreign policy issues and her knowledge on current issues, I almost wouldn’t trust her running the nation.
My rundown is that I rather have Hilary Clinton running the show and representing the hardworking woman with poise and brilliance, than this Hockey Mom that winks at the camera at every opportunity.

It makes me cringe and sends shivers down my spine every time someone suggests this woman "represents" the real American. Her candidacy is in no way affirming or inspirational for me as a woman. If anything it's total insult and joke.
Those McCain peeps are clever though. Choosing Palin was the right move to rally the heard. That people fall into such blatant gimmickry is beyond me.
